MASON HEALTH HONORS COURTNEY OSIER, PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE, WITH JANUARY 2026 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AWARD
Release Date: Jan 26, 2026
SHELTON, WA – Mason Health is proud to recognize Courtney Osier, Patient Financial Services Representative, as Employee of the Month for January 2026. Osier is being honored for her exceptional dedication to team support, innovative problem‑solving, and long‑standing commitment to excellence in healthcare billing and compliance.
Osier began her career in healthcare more than two decades ago, discovering a passion for billing and problem‑solving early on at a private clinic in Montana. She joined Olympic Physicians in 2008 after moving to Shelton and continued with the organization when Mason General Hospital acquired Olympic Physicians in 2013. Since then, she has taken on increasingly complex roles within Patient Financial Services, building deep expertise across clinic, rural health, and hospital billing settings.
Over the years, Osier has successfully navigated major transitions, including moving from paper charts to electronic health records, learning the rural health and Medicare billing processes, and later expanding into hospital billing. In 2015, she took on responsibility for Medicare billing at Mason General Hospital, and later served in hybrid billing, compliance, and Health Information Management roles, helping resolve system issues that required detailed solutions.
A lifelong learner, Osier has completed her Associate of Arts degree at South Puget Sound Community College and is currently halfway through her bachelor’s degree, studying health information management. She is preparing to pursue her Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential, further strengthening her ability to serve Mason Health and its patients.
Osier has also made lasting contributions to process improvement. She played a key role in automating a previously manual recurring billing process, saving countless staff hours, and participated in pilot teams to improve billing workflows.
Beyond her technical expertise, Osier is widely respected for her willingness to support and train others. Her nominator praised her commitment to mentorship, noting that she consistently dedicates time, often one hour every other week and additional sessions on alternating weeks, to help colleagues work through complex billing topics.
“Courtney goes above and beyond her core duties by ensuring her colleagues are not only trained, but confident in their roles,” said Brandy Amundson, Patient Financial Services Manager. “She created a structured training plan that balances her own high‑priority responsibilities with ongoing education for the team. Her flexibility, positive attitude, and knowledge‑sharing directly support Mason Health’s mission of empowering our people to provide the best patient‑centered care.”
Osier enjoys hiking, gardening, and reading in her free time. She and her husband live in Shelton with their child, cat, and dog.
