Arla Shephard Bull
Arla Shephard Bull joined the Mason Health Development Team in 2019. She came to the organization as an award-winning journalist with more than 12 years of experience in the field of journalism, with prior publication at The Seattle Times, Washingtonian Magazine, Seattle Weekly, High Country News, the Shelton-Mason County Journal and Belfair Herald and The Kitsap Sun. In 2018, she was named the North Mason Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. From 2020-2025, she served the children of North Mason as a school board member for North Mason School District. She served on the board of the nonprofit Barnacles & Bees Nature Immersion Program from 2022-2025 and has served on the board of the North Mason Scholarship Foundation and the Belfair Elementary PTA since 2025.
Arla is also a published creative non-fiction writer and poet and enjoys traveling the world with her husband, Garrett, sons, Hendrix and Oz, and dog, Sasha.
